Hi Friends! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.
This weekend we were hosted by the fabulous Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City, Michigan. I was SO excited to get the chance to collaborate with Grand Traverse Resort, because this was my first trip to Traverse City! (Crazy I know.)
This was the PERFECT time to visit Traverse City, because the fall colors are in full effect. To say the views were beautiful would be an understatement, as I was in complete awe the entire time.
When we arrived at Grand Traverse Resort we were invited for a spectacular dinner at Aerie which is located in the resort, on the 16th floor. Aerie had an amazing view of not only the fall colors, but the bay as well. Such a gorgeous backdrop as the sun set! Brendan and I both had the Dry- Aged New York Strip accompanied by truffle whipped potatoes. It was INCREDIBLE! We absolutely loved the atmosphere and service at Aerie.
After dinner, we explored around the resort. There was truly something there for everyone. There were so many cute little shops to explore, a selection of restaurants/bars, pools, hot tubs, a spa, and my favorite.. DYLAN’S CANDY BAR! I couldn’t pass up creating a bucket of my own candy to snack on in our room at night 😉
On Saturday when we woke up and saw the gorgeous view from our room, we knew we had to have breakfast in bed. It was so nice to stay cozy and enjoy french toast and an omelette in our cozies! Check out that view..
After, we headed out to explore around Traverse City and visit a few recommended spots. Our first stop was Brys Estate, and it was breathtaking. We sat on the upper deck and enjoyed the view of the winery while I sipped on a frosé.. and is that not the prettiest charcuterie you’ve ever seen?! It tasted just as good as it looked. I could have seriously spent all day here!
After visiting a couple of vineyards, we made our way downtown to walk around, and stopped for lunch at Don’s Diner (the cutest little stop for burgers, fries, and shakes!)
After wrapping up a busy day one, we headed back to the resort for dinner at Jack’s sports bar (so Brendan could watch the Michigan game- haha). We enjoyed pizza & Pretzel wedges with beer cheese sauce… yummmmm.
After checking out on Sunday we stopped at the cutest little farm on our way out of Traverse City where I HAD to get a picture with the Pumpkin Truck!
We had the absolute BEST time in Traverse City, and I wanted to thank Grand Traverse Resort and Spa once again for hosting us. There truly is something here for everyone, and it was such an amazing experience that I would most definitely recommend Grand Traverse Resort for your next Michigan weekend getaway.
We hope to return to TC again soon to do it all over again!
