Experience Grand Rapids + JW Marriott

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of getting to take a “Girls Weekend Getaway ” compliments of Experience Grand Rapids to the JW Marriott.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the most friendly staff, a beautiful city, and the warmest welcome from Experience Grand Rapids.

We spent our weekend exploring all of Grand Rapids had to offer, and loved the fun radiating vibes throughout the whole town- there was so much going on everywhere! Our first night we spent grabbing dinner and drinks at the JDeck right outside the JW Marriott. There was live music, great drinks, and absolutely FANTASTIC food! Not to mention, the view of the river and the Blue Bridge was amazing.

The room itself in the JW Marriott was absolutely breathtaking. The views of the city were so beautiful we just wanted to sit in our big windows all day and people watch! Also, the pool and spa area were to DIE for. The pool was surrounded by all glass windows, and even had a eucalyptus steam room- WHAT?!

On the second day, we explored a different area a little further from our hotel and stopped in some local boutiques and Le Bon Macaron.

Le Bon Macaron had the CUTEST set up, and is definitely a must stop if you are in the area. Plus, how could you pass up those adorable Macaron’s ūüėČ We also found the coolest boutique next store, Lennon and Willow. Definitely my new favorite Michigan Boutique!

If you are headed to GR, these were some other things from our trip that I would definitely recommend!

+ Downtown Market- great place for fun shopping, great food, and a super cool experience!

+Museums- There are so many, and they are all located pretty close to JW! Frederik Meijer Gardens is beautiful and a great place for pictures.

+ Walking around downtown- there was so much going on everyday right next to our hotel that we could just walk around and be entertained all day! SO many places to eat, things to see, beautiful walls and scenery for pictures, and places to stop.

              Places to eat:

+ Hopcat- If you haven’t had the chance to try a Hopcat, it’s a must.

+Donkey Taqueria- AMAZING Mexican food, and fun vibes! Outside seating is great too on a nice day.

+The Chophouse- If you’re looking to “treat yourself” to a super nice dinner, this place is so worth it.

   Night life:

The BOB- A MUST! If you are looking for some cocktails at night with fun music, and dancing the EVE at the BOB is your place. We ended up going back both nights because we had so much fun.

We had such an amazing weekend in Grand Rapids, and are already planning our next visit! Thank you again to Experience Grand Rapids, and JW Marriott for hosting us and making us feel so welcome. We will be back!
